Ceramics "Galata Tower" Tea Light
I was inspired with Marrianne Annereau's "Tea Lights". I liked the idea of making a miniature building or house, with the candle light glowing through the windows. However, although her design is very simple, I preferred my design to be detailed and defined. I chose the Galata Tower in Istanbul for my design. I wanted the piece to relate to Istanbul as it is one of my favorite places in the world. This monument is a popular place in Istanbul that I have many memories with, and the shape of it's structure made it perfect to be a tea light holder.
